St. Antonius
A chapel of our own above the valley. For weddings, christenings and blessings, and for quiet moments in between.
The house has a chapel of its own, dedicated to St. Anthony. A quiet room that remains when the day has been loud.
The chapel
A small building with a long story
The chapel was built by Fritz Rigoni and Georg Schatz and consecrated in 1997. It belongs to the Sunneschlössli and is also listed in the official register of chapels and churches of the Tannheimer Tal, one of more than thirty in the valley.
If you would like to marry here or hold a ceremony, talk to us. The chapel is meant for a small gathering, the house for the hours that follow.
Its patron saint
St. Anthony
Anthony of Padua, to whom the chapel is dedicated, lived in the thirteenth century. A Franciscan, born in Lisbon, he died near Padua in 1231. To this day he is the saint people call on when something has gone missing: ”St. Anthony, help me find it.” He is usually shown with the infant Jesus on his arm and a lily in his hand.
A figure of St. Anthony stands in the chapel. A quiet reminder that even a small room may have its patron saint, one responsible for seeking and finding again, in matters great and small.

An intimate wedding in a private chapel above the valley. The ceremony, a reception in the garden, the celebration in the house. We will talk the day through with you calmly.

A quiet, dignified setting for your child's christening, with room for the family and a celebration in the house afterwards.
Blessings and quiet ceremonies
For anniversaries, the renewal of vows or simply a moment of reflection: the chapel is open for personal blessings.
