Nina & Matthias

We are Nina and Matthias. Since the summer of 2026 we have been running the Sunneschlössli, together with our daughter Mathilda and our labradoodle Oskar. We took it over from Daniela and Frank, who cared for the house with great devotion for thirteen years. What has grown here, we are glad to carry on.

We met at work, at Brenners Park-Hotel in Baden-Baden. We learned the craft of hosting in grand houses: Matthias over more than twenty-five years in hotels, from the Baur au Lac in Zurich by way of Schloss Bensberg to Gut Steinbach; Nina at reception and front of house, likewise at the Baur au Lac and the Brenners. The mountains and cross-country skiing have stayed with Matthias since his biathlon days. At some point we no longer wanted to run a large house, but a small one of our own, where you still know your guests.

We loved the Sunneschlössli long before it was ours. When the chance to take it over arose, we did not have to think twice. Today we live here and are glad of everyone who arrives and stays. Just write to us, we reply personally. The rest we work out together.
