In the Zarensuite stand the beds in which Tsar Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra once slept, more than a hundred years ago, in the Alexander Palace near Saint Petersburg. How they made their way to Nesselwängle, with two stops in between, no one knows for certain today. In the bay window hang drawings by Gustav Klimt. A great deal of history for 60 square metres, and yet the room stays light and airy, with a loggia and balcony to the south.
Living room and bedroom are separate, the bay window catches the sun above the village, and there is a sofa for reading. Draw the curtain in the morning and Nesselwängle lies below you.
