Sometimes only the whole house will do. All seven suites, the Bauernstube, the wellness area on the slope and the chapel above the valley, and nobody else. The Sunneschlössli can be taken as a whole, for a party that wants to keep to itself. Some come here to celebrate, some to negotiate — the house does both, and keeps both to itself.
Between ourselves
Some occasions are not meant to have an audience: a board retreat, a contract being negotiated, a celebration that should stay private, conversations that call for confidence. A house like ours is made for them. With exclusive use there are no other guests and no passing trade, and we run the house ourselves — there is no changing staff.
Through the house’s own underground garage you enter the Sunneschlössli unseen — from the car straight into the building, without a step across the forecourt. Your stay does not appear in our channels: no photograph, no mention, no reference — not afterwards either. On request we sign a non-disclosure agreement. Discretion here is not an extra service but the normal state of affairs — one hundred per cent. Whatever you are planning, from dining to a board meeting: tell us as much or as little as you wish. You deal directly with the two of us.
Retreats and board meetings
For board retreats and contract negotiations, shareholder and leadership meetings, team off-sites and small workshops the house is made to measure: focused work, no distractions, at 1,200 metres. The Dining Room seats up to ten for the sessions; in between, a walk around the swimming pond or a hike straight from the door, and in the evening everyone sits at one table. Whatever your group needs, from AV equipment to catering, we arrange with you in advance.
Seven suites mean up to seven private retreats, and nobody has to share a room. Wi-Fi runs through the whole house, the wellness area belongs to your party in the evening, and anyone needing to clear their head can be standing in a meadow within two minutes.
Private dining
An evening for your table alone: the Dining Room seats up to ten, larger parties gather in the Bauernstube. The menu takes shape in conversation with you beforehand, cooked in the house’s own kitchen, with wines from the cellar beneath the chapel. A business dinner, a family evening or an occasion that has no name yet — tell us what it should become, and we bring the rest.
Private celebrations
A milestone birthday, a wedding in the house’s own chapel, a family gathering across the generations or a few quiet days with the people you love most: whoever books the whole Schlössli has the house to themselves. Every family its own suite, breakfast in the Bauernstube, and in the evening the house bar in the style of the Orient Express. We shape the day around you, from the ceremony to breakfast the morning after.
The house has no shortage of places to celebrate: the Bauernstube for the long table, the tasting room in the wine cellar beneath the chapel, and in summer the garden by the swimming pond. For weddings there is a page of its own with everything that belongs to the day.
Masterclasses
From autumn we bring masters of their craft into the house: one weekend, a small circle, a piece that lasts. Sometimes leather, sometimes glass, sometimes art, music or wine. You learn at the workbench rather than over someone’s shoulder, and stay right here in the house while you do.
Among the first masters are the sommelier Markus Saletz, the watchmakers of Cimier and Matthias Vickermann of the bespoke shoemakers Vickermann und Stoya. More will follow, unhurried and carefully chosen.
