Understated. Quiet. Refined.
Our Schlössli, yours for a while.
A house above the village, seven suites each with their own kitchen, a wellness area, a garden with a swimming pond, and the Tannheimer mountains in view. Run by hand, with calm and time for every guest. Not a grand hotel operation, more a home for a while.

Inside the house
Formerly a private residence
Carved cabinets, furniture with a past, art on the walls: the Sunneschlössli is furnished with genuine antiques, many of them well travelled.
The Zarensuite holds beds in which Tsar Nicholas II once slept, with drawings by Gustav Klimt beside them. The Rosensuite has a Salvador Dalí lithograph, the Biedermeiersuite the sofa of Wallis Simpson. Each suite carries its own signature.

Your hosts
We are Nina and Matthias
Since the summer of 2026 we have been running the Sunneschlössli, together with our daughter Mathilda and our dog Oskar. We took it over from Daniela and Frank, who cared for the house with great devotion for many years.
We learned hosting in grand houses. At some point we wanted a small one of our own, where you still know your guests.
The suites
Seven suites, each with its own story
From the little turret under the cupola to the bay-window suite with three balconies. Each suite carries a name and its own furniture, much of it old and arrived here by roundabout ways. No two are alike.

Grown over the years, full of character
From your first step into the house, via the Bauernstube, to the chapel: the places that make the Sunneschlössli what it is.
We share what we love most ourselves: this house and the valley in front of it.

Nesselwängle
The Tannheimer Tal at the door
Hiking, swimming, cross-country skiing in winter, or simply sitting on the balcony watching the mountains. Nesselwängle lies quietly, and yet everything is close.
