We gladly pass on whatever becomes available over the next four weeks. Each price is for the most affordable suite free on those days, for two people; for stays of up to six nights breakfast from the Bauernstube is included. Where it says suite of your choice, several are free and you pick one as you book.

Four suites over the holidays, and everything we have planned along with them: a welcome, a cheese fondue, half an hour of candlelight in the chapel on Christmas Eve and “Die Feuerzangenbowle” on Christmas Day. When the German autumn half-term begins, the valley is still mild, the paths are quiet and the lifts run into November. Families stay in the Jägersuite Wilhelm Tell or the Erkersuite Andreas Hofer, each with two bedrooms, couples in one of the suites under the roof. From three nights, with breakfast from the Bauernstube for everyone, every morning; for four guests from €352 per night.

When the valley settles down, the paths are quiet and the light is clear. We lay out tours to match the weather and pack a Brotzeit for the way. Until early November every guest rides the cable car up and down once per night, included; at the Neunerköpfle that would otherwise cost €30.

Normally we ask for three nights. At short notice, at most two weeks ahead, two will do, wherever the house has room. The calendar shows which days are possible; over the holidays we stay with a slightly longer visit. With two nights, breakfast in the Bauernstube is always included. Nothing else changes: your own kitchen, the wellness area on the slope.

On 11 December we open again, and the valley celebrates with us: ski testival and torchlit walk, plus the Christmas market at the Vilsalpsee. Three nights with breakfast from the Bauernstube, and on your first evening we warm you up with mulled wine and a bowl of soup. The first skiing of the season is at the Füssener Jöchle, and from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 December its lifts are free for our guests. That is how a season should begin.

The days before Christmas are the quietest of the winter in the valley. From Monday 14 to Thursday 17 December the lifts at the Füssener Jöchle are free for our guests, and the following weekend brings the Christmas market at the Vilsalpsee. Three to five nights with breakfast from the Bauernstube, departure by 19 December at the latest.

For three weeks in January the Tannheim lifts carry our guests free of charge from Monday to Thursday, in 2027 from 11 to 14, 18 to 21 and 25 to 28 January. The guest card is all it takes, with a €2 deposit for the lift card. At the same time the balloon festival fills the sky above the snowy valley, with the balloon glow in Nesselwängle on 12 January. After the carnival holidays the valley grows quiet. The nearest cross-country track starts about 130 m from the house, and with the guest card you ski the whole valley free of charge. The tracks are groomed while there is snow, and in Nesselwängle the track is snow-made. From Wednesday to Friday there is night skiing there from 6 to 8 pm. We wax together at the waxing bench in the house, and when it works, Matthias comes along for a round. Five to seven nights, with breakfast from the Bauernstube.

In March the valley is bright and quiet, and there is still snow up top. From Monday 15 to Thursday 18 March the lifts are free for our guests, for skiing as well as for winter walks at the Neunerköpfle and the Füssener Jöchle. The guest card is all it takes, with a €2 deposit for the ski pass. Four to seven nights with breakfast from the Bauernstube.

Cycling marathon Sunday, 4 July 2027 Cycling marathon
For the Tannheimer Tal cycling marathon (Rad-Marathon Tannheimer Tal), the cycling package covers the five nights from Wednesday 30 June to Monday 5 July. Arriving earlier or staying longer is always possible. If you stay for less, you can add race support, massage and food for the rides separately. You add the package when you book, for two suites at most. You book your race entry with the organisers. In the cycling package, per rider:
  • breakfast on the five mornings, from 5 am on race day
  • isotonic drinks, bars, gels and our Silberlinge, home-made rice snacks, for the rides
  • on the Friday an easy ride through the valley with Matthias
  • a pasta evening in the Bauernstube the night before the race, with Rita’s bolognese and tomato sauce
  • after the race we collect you by car
  • then a 30-minute massage with Mario Tumler
For your suite we wash the cycling kit every day, otherwise €15 a basket. Tools, repair kits and a pump are ready in the garage.

All rates are per night and suite for two guests; in the large suites Wilhelm Tell and Andreas Hofer for four. Each further guest on the sofa bed we charge at €40 per night; infants up to 2 sleep in the cot free of charge. Breakfast from the Bauernstube can be added at €18.50 per person. The visitor’s tax (Ortstaxe) of the municipality of Nesselwängle is charged on top, per person per night.
